I build systems that keep people on the decisions that matter.
Workflow automation builder. For the last two years, someone who can't stop noticing processes that could run themselves.
I'm Lan. Most of what I do is building automated workflows — systems that handle the repetitive parts of a process so people can focus on the parts that actually need judgement.
I got into this backwards. Most people start with a tool and look for something to use it on. I started with a problem — a lead-generation routine that was eating hours every week — and worked backwards to whatever would fix it. That's still how I work. The tool is the last decision, not the first.
The idea I keep coming back to is this: automation isn't about removing people, it's about putting them in the right places. Every system I've built still has a person in it. But that person is only on the decisions that matter — which leads to send, which video passes quality, which article goes live. Everything else runs on its own.
Right now I'm building the third of three projects: a workflow that keeps this portfolio growing without manual updates. That's what you're reading.
Right now
-
01
Auto-publishing portfolio
Building the pipeline that drafts case studies and blog posts from a Slack submission, mirrors them to Notion, and publishes on a 48-hour schedule with a human approval step.
-
02
Lead-generation engine
Refining the local, zero-cost workflow that finds, scores, and drafts outreach for local businesses. Currently focused on making the critic stage sharper and the guardrails tighter.
-
03
Mechanical engineering coursework
Finishing my degree. The habit of systems thinking from engineering is what carries over into everything I build on the automation side.
The short version
- Program
- BS Mechanical Engineering, Technological Institute of the Philippines
- Focus
- Workflow automation, systems analysis, process design. The engineering mindset applied to business operations.
- Tools I reach for
- n8n for orchestration · Supabase for data · Ollama and Gemini for the AI layer · Notion and Slack for the human interface
- What I care about
- Systems that actually run, honest documentation of what works and what doesn't, and keeping a person on the decisions that matter.
Let's work together
Open to automation projects, collaborations, and internships. If you have a process that's eating hours of your week, I'd like to hear about it.
